Alford Town Centre Health Check Underway
By Enjoy Alford and Donside on 09/09/2022
Town Centre Health Checks are required as a part of the Local Development Plan and are useful documents that inform policy and practical project delivery. Last year we adopted a new methodology and re-formatted the layout of the documents that are produced. As an example the reports that were produced for the Principal Town Centres can be accessed here.
Based on the lessons learned and feedback received from the first year of new style Town Centre Health Checks we are going to be rolling these out to an additional 8 towns (Alford, Aboyne, Kemnay, Laurencekirk, Mintlaw, Oldmeldrum, Portlethen and Westhill). These towns will be surveyed on a biennial basis with officers undertaking the survey work within the town centre during the month of September.
Part of the information gathering work includes a community and business survey which will be published through the Council’s Engage HQ platform. The Town Centre Health Check survey for Alford is now live. The surveys can be accessed through our Town Centre Health Check Hub page:

The surveys are open from today until Friday 14 October for anyone wishing to submit their views.
